Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of wait staff, ensuring they provide courteous and rapid service to members and guests.
  • Assist in Departmental Operations: Assist in moving the club forward on a daily basis, working closely with members, guests, and employees to ensure seamless service.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Assist in ordering, cost, and inventory controls, ensuring accurate tracking and management of food and beverage supplies.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Assist in the marketing of à la carte and feature menus, promoting our culinary offerings to members and guests.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Attend weekly BEO meetings to discuss events and setups, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional service.
  • Quality Control and Service Recovery: Monitor employee and member activities to ensure all food and beverage departmental regulations are met and exceeded, investigating and documenting complaints about food quality or service issues, and following up with service recovery.
  • Staff Management and Development: Oversee the set-up, service, and reset of all club functions, creating a functional working environment that is fun, safe, and productive, and monitoring the safe and orderly storage of all equipment, glassware, silverware, and plate ware.
  • Leadership and Communication: Lead by example, demonstrating a pleasant personality, good communication skills, and proper service techniques, and ensuring that all staff members are productive and engaged.
Requirements
  • Country Club Experience: A minimum of six months to one year of related experience in a country club or similar hospitality setting.
  • Education and Training: An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Pleasant personality, good communication skills, proper service techniques, and the ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail and knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
