Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist operates under the guidance of the Director of the School of Public and Global Affairs and collaborates with staff members, program managers, coordinators, faculty, and advisors.

The primary responsibility of this role is to attract and recruit students for the University’s undergraduate degree completion programs (AA, AS, and BAIS) as well as a range of master's programs related to administration, including Public Administration (MPA), Administrative Science (MAS), Homeland Security (MSCHSA), and Global Studies (M.A.).

Additionally, the specialist will promote non-credit professional development seminars.


Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include representing and advocating for the University to prospective students, public and private sector employees, professional organizations, and other specific target groups associated with the University’s diverse degree offerings.

The incumbent will coordinate with the Offices of Enrollment Management, Graduate Admissions, and Branding and Marketing to enhance enrollment objectives and strategies for achieving them.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is expected to travel, expand professional networks, follow up with prospective students, and represent the University at job fairs, conventions, and professional gatherings.


Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred.
Significant work experience in the public or non-profit sector, preferably in New Jersey.
Demonstrated success in recruitment, ideally within a higher education context.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to effectively sell, counsel, and recruit, while engaging with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.

Proven ability to work independently, establish target enrollment goals, and translate these into tangible results.
Proficiency in computerized systems for word processing, spreadsheets, and other data management applications. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is preferred.
A valid driver's license and access to transportation for travel between campuses and recruitment sites are required.
Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.

Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
