Position Overview:
BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our evening team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all clients entering the facility.
- Act as a supportive resource for colleagues, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
- Deliver compassionate care and understanding to clients and their pets.
Compensation: $29.00 per hour
Note: This salary range is a starting point and may vary based on experience and career progression.
Additional Compensation: Eligible employees may receive shift differentials for evening and weekend hours worked.
Shift Differential Examples:
- Monday to Friday: 6 PM to 8 AM = $3.50
- Saturday & Sunday: 6 PM to 8 AM = $5.00
- Saturday & Sunday: 8 AM to 6 PM = $3.50
As a Veterinary Receptionist, your duties will include:
- Welcoming clients with a warm smile and professional demeanor as they arrive.
- Exhibiting strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Assessing the needs of clients and their pets upon arrival.
- Determining the urgency of cases and directing clients accordingly.
- Connecting clients with the appropriate team members for non-patient inquiries.
- Confirming appointments and providing clients with essential information for their visits.
- Offering emotional support and resources to clients experiencing loss.
- Facilitating communication between clients and service agencies regarding pet remains.
