About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Deli Clerk to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized deli department, and ensuring that all products are fresh and meet company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high level of customer service to members, answering questions and recommending deli items.
  • Slice, package, and weigh deli products, including cheeses and meats.
  • Help members select the correct products and sample product to assist in purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare and package special orders and party trays.
  • Receive and inspect deli shipments, ensuring that all products are fresh and meet company quality standards.
  • Display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Work experience in a deli department preferred.
  • Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.
  • Knowledge of deli products preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age.
