The role of a Test Engineer at Peraton is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. This individual will work closely with developers, product managers, and other teams to guarantee that software and systems meet rigorous functional, performance, and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements, functional specifications, and design documents.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand product features and functionality, and create testing strategies accordingly.
- Perform manual testing of software applications, focusing on functional, usability, and exploratory testing.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure faster test execution and reusability.
- Use testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) to create automated tests for different application layers.
- Identify, document, and report defects, issues, or bugs, and ensure they are communicated effectively to the development team for resolution.
- Follow up on defects to ensure timely resolution and verify bug fixes through re-testing.
- Execute both manual and automated test cases and ensure proper tracking of test results.
- Analyze test results, identify areas of improvement, and provide insights to improve product quality.
