Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Nutrition Assessments: Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and diagnoses for patients at risk of malnutrition, considering their clinical condition, age, cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Develop and Implement Nutrition Plans: Use clinical judgment to identify malnutrition and other nutrition diagnoses, and develop and implement targeted nutrition interventions based on specific medical conditions.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Actively participate as a member of the multi-specialty interdisciplinary care team to contribute to overall patient care, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Support Patient Education: Provide customized nutrition education to patients and/or families and caregivers, and conduct motivational interviews to promote positive behavior change.
- Menu Development and Compliance: Collaborate in the process of menu development for patient cafeteria and catering services, and support in managing the facility diet manual and patient diet and nutritional compliance.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics), and at least 2 years of experience as a hospital clinical dietitian.
- Licensure: Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), and current ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler Certifications.
