- Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to ensure mastery of academic standards, utilizing data analysis to drive instruction and intervention.
- Develop and maintain a positive classroom environment, promoting social-emotional learning and character development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives, ensuring alignment with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
- Participate in coaching cycles and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Manage student behavior and classroom routines to maximize learning time and create a productive learning environment.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Master's degree in education or related field preferred.
- New York State Certification for relevant grades or demonstrated process towards obtaining certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a full-time elementary classroom teacher.
- Demonstrated success working in a high-performing, urban school setting preferred.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching through continuous learning and data analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with colleagues.
