Role Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering exceptional care to adult patients. Your role will ensure that high-quality care is provided safely and efficiently, in alignment with the unit's standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a circulator, scrub, or monitor during Cath Lab procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by ensuring accurate information is collected.
  • Utilize critical thinking to assess patients and administer medications, especially for critically ill individuals.
  • Ensure safe hemostasis with or without vascular devices.
  • Accurately enter patient orders and charges.
  • Provide care for critically ill patients, demonstrating the ability to function independently in high-pressure situations.
  • Educate patients and families based on their needs, documenting the information provided.
  • Assist families in navigating to the appropriate areas as needed.
  • Perform point-of-care testing as per established protocols.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent education for licensure.
Experience:
  • No prior experience required.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent communication, standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).
  • Occasional lifting of heavier objects and patients.
  • Frequent use of vision, hearing, and smell for patient assessment and safety.
Licensure and Certifications:
