Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for performing complex diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art MRI equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including MRI exams, utilizing computerized imaging equipment.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Program computer systems to ensure accurate completion of exams and storage of scan data on PACS.
  • Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain high patient care and continuity.
  • Ensure accurate coding and entry of charges in the billing system.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, and standards as promulgated by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiological Sciences or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in MRI preferred.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.

Work Schedule and Type:

PRN, Per Diem As Needed.
