Aircraft Paint Technician Job Description

West Star Aviation is a leading maintenance repair organization in the industry, and we're seeking a skilled Aircraft Paint Technician to join our team. As a Paint Technician, you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply paint and coatings to aircraft surfaces using electrostatic paint guns and other equipment.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by stripping old paint and sanding to a high finish.
  • Work with a variety of substrates, including aluminum, composite, and steel.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Travel to offsite locations as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vo-tech school or on-the-job experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license approved for airline travel.
  • 5+ years of experience in aviation painting operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and time constraints.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
