Catholic Community Services of Western Washington (CCSWW) is seeking candidates for the role of Chief Executive Officer, responsible for leading Catholic Community Services, the Archdiocesan Housing Authority, and the Catholic Charities Foundation. This position oversees a dedicated team of approximately 5,000 staff and volunteers, managing an annual operating budget of nearly $500 million.

Under the guidance of the Archbishop of Seattle, CCSWW primarily serves the Archdiocese of Seattle, extending certain services to neighboring regions.

Compensation for the Chief Executive Officer is competitive and based on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is available, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as participation in a retirement and pension plan.

MISSION STATEMENT:
Rooted in Catholic Social Teaching, CCSWW embodies the call to love and serve our neighbors, focusing on individuals, families, and communities facing poverty and the impacts of intolerance and racism.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for planning, leading, and directing all management and administrative functions of the Catholic Charities agencies in Western Washington. This role ensures alignment with Catholic social and moral teachings as established by the Archbishop of Seattle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively engage as a practicing Catholic.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching.
  • Direct the organization in accordance with governing documents and bylaws.
  • Understand Catholic ecclesial life and structure.
  • Hold an advanced degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • Have substantial experience in leading and managing non-profit organizations with significant budgets.
  • Develop and implement impactful organizational policies.
  • Lead and motivate an executive leadership team that promotes innovation and excellence.
  • Champion social justice and respect for all human dignity.
  • Ensure solid financial performance and compliance within the organization.
  • Foster a collaborative spirit among agency leaders, staff, and volunteers.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief Executive Officer will:

  • Provide regular reports on services and financial activities to the Boards of Trustees.
  • Maintain accountable relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic planning processes and implement key strategies.
  • Oversee agency budgets and ensure optimal financial management.
  • Collaborate with development offices to secure financial stability.
  • Support partnerships that promote equality and community engagement.
