Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Travel

Are you a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse looking for a new challenge? The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled LPN to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows you to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from your home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Job Summary

The Travel LPN will provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including long-term care facilities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary care team to assess residents, administer medications, and provide technical support as needed. Your ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively with others will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting resident interactions.
  • Assess residents' physical and psychosocial needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate services.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care plans in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
