Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering occupational therapy treatments to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients to determine their occupational therapy needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Administer occupational therapy treatments, including exercises, stretching, and strengthening programs.
  • Supervise occupational therapy assistants and aides to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Occupational therapy licensure in Iowa or eligibility for licensure.
  • 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, with new graduates welcome to apply.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer concepts.
Work Environment:

The Occupational Therapist will work in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting, with frequent patient contact and potential exposure to communicable diseases. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism.
