Job Summary

As an Emergency Medical Technician with Northern Light Health, you will provide critical care to patients in emergency situations. Your duties will include performing duties using proper technique and following protocols related to BSI, I/C, OSHA guidelines, HIV/HBV, TB precautions. You will also inventory, stock, and clean the ambulance to ensure it is properly equipped at all times. Additionally, you will take on-call assignments, function as a crew chief, arrange for patient transfers, and manage backup crews when needed. You will work under direct supervision of Medical Control and complete all patient care run reports in MEMSRRS within the specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

Perform duties using proper technique and following protocols related to BSI, I/C, OSHA guidelines, HIV/HBV, TB precautions.
Inventory, stock, and clean the ambulance to ensure it is properly equipped at all times.
Take on-call assignments.
Function as a crew chief.
Arrange for patient transfers from CA Dean to receiving medical facilities.
Manage backup crews when needed.
Provide all other emergency care within the scope of practice.
Provide appropriate treatment using accepted EMS standards and protocols for EMT-P.
Work under direct supervision of Medical Control.
Complete all patient care run reports in MEMSRRS within the specified timeframe.

Requirements

Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification.
A valid Maine license is required.

Working Conditions

Potential exposure to noise levels being uncomfortable.
