Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a 99-bed acute care hospital with a community-based patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and establish plans of care
  • Demonstrate competence in performing age-appropriate patient assessments and individualize care based on age-specific needs
  • Perform age-appropriate patient treatment and motivate non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy
  • Participate in departmental safety drills and emergency procedures as required
  • Document and report unusual occurrences, on-the-job injuries, and medical device malfunctions
  • Participate in strategies to meet business initiatives and unit/team, program, and department-specific goals and targets
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree completion of a Physical Therapy program is required
  • No experience required, but 1 year of acute care experience is strongly preferred
  • PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License upon hire is required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English, problem-solving ability, ability to teach others, time management skills, good interpersonal and customer service skills, and basic leadership skills
