Medical Professional for Perianesthesia Care

We are seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join our team in the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Registered Nurse in the Perianesthesia Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position with a salary range of $69,705 - $141,409 per year. The successful candidate will work Monday-Friday with varying tours such as 8, 9, 10, and 12 hour shifts. This role is not remote or telework eligible and requires relocation expenses to be reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver fundamental, knowledge-based care to assigned clients while developing technical competencies.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care based on age-specific components.
- Coordinate care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An active, full, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- A minimum of one year of specialized nursing experience equivalent to Nurse I, Level 1, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional professional nursing experience required.
- Knowledge of basic life-sustaining needs, including cardiovascular and respiratory systems, airway management, neurological system, hemodynamic stability, pain, comfort needs, and mental status.
- Ability to work effectively in stressful situations and prioritize tasks based on patient needs.
