You will play a key role in leading project execution, ensuring technical and commercial excellence and helping to build a world class service business supporting solar and battery energy storage markets in the USA.

Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations and Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading complex system troubleshooting, major repairs, and optimizing renewable energy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct thorough inspections of electrical and mechanical components across the entire renewable system.
  • Perform complex testing, including load testing, relay programming, relay testing, and commissioning of new systems.
  • Perform major system repairs, such as inverter replacements, advanced troubleshooting, or other PV component replacement.
  • Implement system upgrades to improve performance.
  • Lead and train Level 1 and Level 2 technicians, ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to safety and quality standards.
  • Interface with project managers and superintendent to report on system performance, recommend improvements, and ensure projects meet operational goals.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and system optimization strategies.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and company protocols.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in electrical technology, renewable energy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working with electrical and mechanical systems in the renewable energy field.
  • Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including inverters, transformers, and high-voltage equipment.
  • Expertise in system design, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Able to work in challenging conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and adverse weather, while following strict safety protocols.
  • A valid state-issued driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
