Job Summary:

The Configuration Management Certification Analyst provides critical support to the General Dynamics Electric Boat shipyard, ship's management, the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, and NAVSEA by accurately reporting the official status of liabilities in support of Key Event Certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for Configuration Management of Non-conformance and Design Change Liabilities
  • Update Key Event codes, as-built configuration, and contract change documentation
  • Maintain and ensure data integrity of the Electric Boat's configuration management databases
  • Interpret liabilities and provide guidance for technical support documents and directives
  • Act as liaison between the design agent and construction yard, expediting liabilities and participating in regular meetings to support key event certifications
  • Interact with various departments, including Ship's Management, Engineering, Planning, Design, Program Office, and Supervisor of Shipbuilding

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • Configuration Management or Ship Certification experience
  • Teamcenter experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge or experience with new construction and/or delivered ships implementation of work and as-built documentation
  • Awareness of EB's 3G and JCALS systems
  • Ability to review and understand various technical documents
  • Interpreting Engineering Report and Change Notices
  • Related knowledge gained through Military service

Skills:

  • Ability to work overtime and off-shift hours to support certification events
  • Effective communication with all levels of management
  • Support for a rotating Saturday shift
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivation with a strong awareness of procedural compliance
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience in performing at a high quality level
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and data integrity
