About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery team at BluePearl Vet, LLC. As a Surgery Recovery Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
  • Assist with pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative care, including monitoring anesthesia and troubleshooting.
  • Perform physical exams, collect vitals, and accurately count heart rate, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate, and effort.
  • Administer subcutaneous fluids, set up constant rate infusions (CRIs), and operate intravenous fluid pumps.
  • Monitor patient response to fluid therapy, including signs of overload, and communicate with clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, and patient updates.
