About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our Colorado Water Resources team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering successful projects that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects that involve hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater conveyance design, floodplain modeling and mapping, and river and ecosystem restoration.
  • Develop and implement sustainable solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to develop long-term client relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Assist with team building and mentoring of younger engineers as you grow in your career.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-5+ years of experience in Water Resources engineering.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering from an ABET accredited University.
  • Experience in or interest in Water Resources related projects.
  • Understanding of Water Resources engineering and planning.
  • Self-motivated, self-teaching, initiator.
  • Has their Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with various business and design related software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or MicroStation.
  • Experience with water-related software programs, including HEC-RAS (1D or 2D), HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, SRH-2D, CUHP, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster, HY-8, or others.
  • A desire to obtain your Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure within the next 5 years.
  • A Master's Degree in a water resources-related field is beneficial, but not required.
