Electrical Systems Specialist

As an Electrical Systems Specialist in the U.S. Army, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of electricity within Army facilities. Your responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including transformers, circuit breakers, and electrical boxes. You'll also test equipment and identify and fix short circuits in wires and faulty equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including transformers and circuit breakers
  • Test equipment and identify and fix short circuits in wires and faulty equipment
  • Read blueprints and wire plans to determine layouts and repair electrical systems
Requirements:
  • Must have an interest in joining the Army
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien
  • 17 to 34 years old
  • Healthy and in good physical condition
  • In good moral standing with no felony-level offenses
  • Must be able to meet height/weight standards
  • No major medical procedures that would prohibit you from service
  • No tattoos on the hands, neck, or face
Education and Training:
  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
