Library Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Library Assistant. In this role, you will provide support to our branch library by performing various tasks, including shelving books, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

• Shelve books and maintain the library's collection
• Assist customers with their queries and provide information on library resources
• Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized environment
• Work collaboratively with branch staff to achieve team goals
• Model professionalism and promote a positive organizational culture

• No prior experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
• Ability to effectively communicate information to patrons
• Comfortable with basic computer and technological skills

This is a part-time position that requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting.
