We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. This part-time position will support the MRI department at Lake Forest Hospital, working every Saturday and Sunday from 7pm to 7:30am.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and interact with patients in the radiology department, verifying patient identity and transporting patients as needed.
- Prepare patients for exams, position and immobilize them on the examining table, and assist radiologists and technologists in acquiring quality exams.
- Perform various related tasks to support the effective operations of the radiology department, including preparing exam rooms, stocking supplies, and maintaining changing areas.
- Process requests for radiology films and ensure exams are entered correctly and tracked in the computer.
- Responsible for ensuring JCAHO and Safety standards are met, as well as following all recommended Infection Control procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years specialized or technical training, or equivalent
- Physical Demands Requirement: lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull force up to 50 pounds
