Principal Estimator – Water Resources
Opportunity Overview:
- Parsons Oman is in search of a seasoned Principal Estimator to oversee the Pure Water initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for generating precise estimates for distinct components of the water program, enhancing your expertise in standard estimation methodologies, and playing a key role in the formulation of best practices within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct material takeoffs to outline project scope
- Assist in crafting comprehensive work breakdown structures
- Compile estimates that encompass rates and resources
- Employ estimation software and tools effectively
- Source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain documentation of historical cost data
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Estimating team
Required Qualifications:
- Preferred experience with municipal water initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 10-12 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in estimating database applications
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn company-specific software
- Familiarity with project control systems
