Position Overview: The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate students' speech and language development, including receptive and expressive language skills, speech production, and social communication abilities. The primary goal is to identify students who require special education services and to support them in achieving their speech and language objectives.

Classification: Foundations Educational Services

Compensation: $80,000-$85,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of students' speech and language development to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Design and implement individualized speech-language therapy programs.
  • Provide consultation and support to educators, administrators, and families.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and treatment plans to document progress and outcomes.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to share information about student progress and program effectiveness.
  • Research and apply effective intervention strategies and assessment tools.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Valid SLP/SLT license in Arizona.
  • Current Department of Education SLP/SLT license in Arizona.
  • AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Compliance with continuing education requirements.
Work Environment:
  • Occasional exposure to dust and allergens.
  • Physical demands include frequent movement and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Normal hearing and vision capabilities are required.
  • Work may involve moderate to high noise levels.
