Job Summary:

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists play a vital role in the diagnostic imaging process at CommonSpirit Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Obtain patient history and screening forms, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure a positive experience.
  • Image Acquisition: Perform procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols, utilizing your knowledge of MRI technology and patient safety.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance scanners to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain regulatory compliance and licensure for current position, adhering to National Patient Safety goals and standards.
  • Professional Development: Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs, maintain professional development, and education for technical competency.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification: Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) within 1 year of employment or transferring into the position.
  • Licensure: State of Kentucky License required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in MRI preferred.
