Job Summary

As a Family Medicine Physician with the Defense Health Agency, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive outpatient care to a diverse population of patients. This includes serving as the Primary Care Optimization (PCO) team leader, providing clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team, and participating in local disaster training exercises.

Key Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive outpatient care to patients with complex and interdependent acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, asthma, and cancer diagnosis/management/surveillance.
Serves as the Primary Care Optimization (PCO) team leader, providing clinical and administrative leadership to the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) team.
Participates in local disaster training exercises and responds to real-world disaster situations to facilitate primary care delivery in the face of an emergent local situation.
Coordinates with local, state, and county medical emergency personnel to execute primary care delivery in accordance with the assigned facility's Medical Contingency Response Plan (MCRP).

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or without US residency and current US work visa.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and analyze complex medical information and make informed decisions.
