Job Summary:

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for administering comprehensive clinical services to patients, providing testing, analyses, and evaluations of seriously ill patients or those having complex medical problems. You will formulate a treatment plan that is consistent with the patient's needs and communicate regularly with members of the patient care team, the patient, family members, and others involved with the patient's care.

Responsibilities:

Assess patients to provide a diagnosis and identify problems. Plan treatment schedules to ensure optimal use of staff and equipment in providing high-quality patient services. Develop and implement a result-oriented treatment plan responsive to the individualized needs of the patient and include clear, measurable goals. Modify the treatment plan according to the patient's responses. Provide direct patient care and perform specialized treatments according to the patient's individualized plan of care. Collaborate with other members of the patient care team and use community resources to plan for the continued care, support, and follow-up of the patient after discharge. Conduct in-service programs, provide other staff with training, and serve as a clinical instructor to students. Attend team conferences to promote an interdisciplinary approach to patient care and work cooperatively with other team members to maintain consistency in the provision of high-quality, results-oriented services.

Requirements:

A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Georgia. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. One year of Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
