Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores: A Career in Diesel Technology

Are you passionate about working with your hands and solving complex problems? Do you have a strong interest in diesel technology and a desire to learn and grow with a leading company in the industry?

We are seeking a Diesel Technician Apprentice to join our team at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of diesel engines and equipment, and to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a skilled diesel technician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers with roadside services and learn preventative maintenance services
  • Work on electrical diagnostics and repairs, air conditioning and heating diagnostics and repairs, and other diesel-related tasks
  • Develop skills in wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs, air system diagnostics and repairs, and air brakes diagnostics and repairs
  • Learn basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement, and parts lookup and acquisition

Requirements:
  • Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds, and work in close quarters
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's)
