Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing patient specimens for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect patient specimens through venipuncture, capillary collection, and other methods.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth specimen processing and testing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including inventory management and special projects.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory, or Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, computer data entry, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of phlebotomy experience.
  • Certification from a National Accredited Program.

Work Schedule:

PRN (as needed) position.

Work Type:

Per Diem.
