Job Summary

Donor Development Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Manager to lead our grassroots outreach efforts for public media stations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies, managing a team of canvass staff, and ensuring the success of our campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Work: Canvass 4-5 days per week, perform field training, and regular field check-ins with staff. Meet and exceed minimum fundraising and canvass shift quotas.
  • Staff Management: Manage staff by creating and executing training plans, holding staff accountable for working scheduled shifts, timeliness, meeting minimum standards, and professionalism.
  • Administration: Collect and report data from daily and weekly operations, ensure maintenance, management, and security of donor and organizational data and contributions, and deposit fully accounted for donations with the client each night.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the Director Team and Project Manager, participate in company-wide communication channels in a professional and prompt manner.
Requirements
  • Prior canvassing, organizing, fundraising, and/or leadership experience.
  • Experience recruiting employees or volunteers, hiring/firing staff.
  • Base-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and cloud-based storage platforms.
  • Professional communication skills, including public speaking, professional writing, and strong telephone skills.
  • Attention to detail, office management/administrative experience, and basic accounting skills.
