About the Role

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to expectant mothers and their newborns. This includes assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring fetal heart rates
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and evidence-based care
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring certification within 60 days of hire and maintain current
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred
