Job Description:

PRI is seeking a skilled logistics professional to provide support to the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center contract located at Edwards AFB, California. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse or industrial environment and/or experience with driving trucks and/or other non-CDL required vehicles.

  • Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties associated with SCA Labor Category Truck Driver, Medium from the SCA Directory of Occupations 5th edition, including supply and materials management, equipment management, property disposal, transportation management, mail management, and warehousing operations.

  • Operate medium trucks, forklifts, and specialty material handling equipment, as well as perform supply management services in accordance with NPD 4100.1, Supply Support & Material Management Policy, NPR 4100.1, NASA Supply Support and Material Management, and AFOP 4100.1 Stock (Store, Program & Standby) Issue & Turn-In Procedure.

  • Maintain accurate records and perform required inspections, cleaning, and basic servicing of owned/leased vehicles and equipment items, as well as arrange for maintenance actions per NASA and PRI policies.

  • Deliver property to the appropriate customer using a variety of vehicles and obtain signed receipt documentation.

  • Perform duties as a non-CDL Truck Driver or Material Handling Equipment operator, including operating medium trucks, forklifts, and specialty material handling equipment.

  • Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass flightline training and receive and maintain flightline certifications.

  • Must have a clean driving record and experience working in a warehouse or industrial environment and/or experience with driving trucks and/or other non-CDL required vehicles.

  • Must be able to clearly read, write, speak, and comprehend English, as well as communicate clearly and effectively verbally and via email.

  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform the physical requirements of the position, including being on your feet most of the day and lifting requirements.

  • Ability to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.
