About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at DuPont. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a wide range of machine tools, including CNC and manual equipment, to produce high-quality parts for major aerospace, commercial, and military aircraft engine manufacturers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machine tools, including grinders, mills, lathes, and hones, to produce complex shapes and aerospace tolerances.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
  • Modify programs in response to problems and work from and read blueprints to ensure quality control.
  • Monitor product quality, troubleshoot errors, and make decisions to solve any issues.
  • Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • Follow all safety requirements and receive verbal and written information.
  • Record information, understand written instructions, and communicate them to others.
  • Participate in customer audits, complete the Certified Operator Program, and audit processes to ensure compliance with quality practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years of machining experience or a Machining Technology certificate
  • Willing and able to work overtime, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Knowledge of basic math and experience in machining composites, metals, and/or aluminum extrusions
  • Ability to read CNC programs and set up and operate manual and CNC equipment
  • Proficient in shop math, including geometry and conversions, and demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand tolerance
  • Knowledge of FANUC controls and excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of machining experience
  • CNC machinist certification
  • Knowledge/experience in Statistical Process Control
