Job Title: Patient Ambassador

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Patient Ambassador to join our team at Families Together of Orange County. As a Patient Ambassador, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients by providing personalized support and acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and Assist Patients: Greet patients warmly and provide assistance throughout their visit to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
  2. Education and Support: Educate patients about healthcare resources, support services, and community programs available within our healthcare network.
  3. Navigate Health Center Network: Assist patients in navigating our health center network, guiding them to appointments, departments, and services as needed.
  4. Provide New Patient Packets: Distribute comprehensive new patient packets containing essential information, forms, and resources pertinent to their care.
  5. Exceptional Customer Service: Strive to exceed patient expectations by providing empathetic support, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  6. Patient Empowerment: Empower patients to take an active role in their healthcare by providing them with the necessary knowledge, tools, and support to make informed decisions.
  7. Compliance with Policies and Regulations: Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA regulations, to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese

Qualifications:

  1. Empathy and Communication Skills: Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and strong interpersonal and communication skills
  2. Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, acute attention to detail, and responsiveness to the needs of both internal and external customers
  3. Passion for Serving Vulnerable Populations: Demonstrated passion for serving vulnerable populations and advocating for patient rights and access to healthcare services
