We are currently seeking an experienced OBGYN for locum tenens coverage in California. This opportunity allows for emergency credentialing, typically completed within 2 to 3 weeks. You will be joining a reputable group and hospital that plays a significant role in the healthcare landscape of California. Below are the key details of the position:

Position Overview:

• Average of 15 patients per day and approximately 10 deliveries monthly.
• Balanced focus on both OB and GYN services (50% each).
• Call schedule: 1:4, covering only one hospital.
• Call commitment: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month.

Qualifications:

• Experience with deliveries, C-sections, and laparoscopic procedures.
• Must be board certified in OBGYN.
• Possession of a current and active California medical license.
• Minimal to no background issues are preferred.

Hospital Details:

• Join a collaborative team consisting of 3 OBGYNs, 1 midwife, and 4 nursing staff.
• The group averages over 110 deliveries each month.
• Facilities include 12 postpartum rooms and 8 labor and delivery rooms.
• Equipped with 2 surgical suites and a 14% C-section rate.
• Access to an experienced labor and delivery team with in-house anesthesia available 24/7.

• Close proximity to a maternal-fetal medicine specialist and a large children's hospital.
• Comfort with high-risk patients is essential.
