About the Position

Hennepin County's Mental Health Center is seeking a Senior Psychiatric Social Worker to join their multidisciplinary treatment team. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in social work or a related field and at least two years of post-master's degree experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.

The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, prepare diagnostic assessment reports, and facilitate the development of integrated treatment plans. They will also provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions and document all client and client-related encounters in Epic according to MHC standards.

The Mental Health Center is a state-licensed community mental health clinic that provides comprehensive outpatient mental health services to adults with serious mental illness and those with co-occurring substance use disorders. The team is committed to advancing health and racial equity and reducing disparities in mental health services.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals from diverse populations, including those with child protection and juvenile correction systems. They will also have a strong understanding of the importance of cultural competence and trauma-informed care.

The position is hybrid, with a mix of onsite and remote work. The successful candidate will be required to reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
