We are seeking a skilled Medical Examiner to assist veterans in navigating the VA disability compensation system. This role involves conducting thorough Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams/Disability Benefits Questionnaires to evaluate veterans' impairments for service connection and schedular disability rating purposes.

To succeed as a Medical Examiner, you should possess exceptional cultural competence, teamwork skills, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to make resolute decisions while being compassionate towards our veteran clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Thorough Exams: Conduct comprehensive physical exams and patient observations to assess veterans' conditions.
  • Review Medical Records: Review patients' medical histories and records related to disability claims to ensure accurate assessments.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Consult with healthcare professionals and families to gather essential information and provide comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree: Hold a masters degree from an accredited program in your field.
  • Licensure and Board Certification: Be licensed in the state where employed or a compact party state and board-certified by the appropriate medical governing board.
  • State Authorization: Obtain authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health or a provider generalist.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
