Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the unit/department during the designated shift.
In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serving as a resource for staff while embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to support exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.- Support facility engagement efforts by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.- Recommend and implement actions related to training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure organizational excellence.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.- Support inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required.
- Registered Nurse in TX or holds a compact license.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- APHON Chemotherapy Provider or ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- A minimum of 1 year of applicable experience required.
