Job Title: Wound Ostomy RN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Ostomy RN to join our team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. As a WOC RN, you will utilize the nursing process to assess, develop a nursing diagnosis, develop a plan of care with appropriate interventions, and evaluate the effects of the plan. You will be involved in consulting with other healthcare providers in making recommendations for care or providing direct care to ostomy patients, wound care patients, and patients in need of skin care as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop a plan of care, and implement interventions to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with ostomies, wounds, and skin care needs.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on wound and ostomy care, including ostomy management, wound dressing changes, and skin care techniques.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and guidelines in wound and ostomy care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 2 years Clinical experience in an acute setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a Wound Ostomy and Continence Program
