Administers and prepares radiopharmaceuticals under the guidance of an authorized user while operating radioisotope detection equipment to generate photoscans of specified regions of the human body for patients across all age groups, including neonates, children, adults, and seniors.
Essential Qualifications:
MANDATORY
Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program AND certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or eligibility for certification examination through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Registration as a CT Technologist is required for facilities with PETCT within one year of employment.
DESIRABLE
Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, and registration as a CT Technologist through the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
