Authorization Coordinator Job Description

Pinnacle Home Care, a leading home health agency in Florida, is seeking a skilled Authorization Coordinator to join our team. As an Authorization Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete final episode billing audits and assist with all final billing, including Medicare and Non-Medicare bills.
  • Assist with billing audits and order tracking as needed, and provide ongoing follow-up on delayed reimbursement.
  • Review and correct billing errors in a timely manner and assist with insurance authorizations as needed.
  • Coordinate and process patient authorization to completion with precision, detail, and accuracy.
  • Meet productivity goals as assigned by the Authorization Supervisor and maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Comply with all state and local laws and regulations, and adhere to established confidentiality standards as required by Pinnacle Home Care.
Requirements:
  • Medical Authorizations Experience
  • One year of medical office experience is preferred, and home health experience is desirable.
