Registered Nurse

Saint Mary's Hospital's Inpatient Surgery Department is a 23-bed unit that provides care for various types of surgeries pre and post operatively. Our team of dedicated and specialized nurses, LPNs, and PCAs work together with the hospitalist and specialty providers to provide exceptional care for patients who require a stay overnight or longer after surgeries.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on bedside care of patients with complex surgical needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop plans of care and facilitate education with a focus on restoring patients to their pre-surgical state of wellness.
- Assist in the care of patients who require a stay overnight or longer after surgeries.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduates preferred.
- Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
- Certification: BLS required. (AHA/ARC)
Work Schedule:
- Full time – 30 hours – Days
Your schedule will include:
- Two 12-hour Shifts in one week and
- Three 12-hour shifts in the second week
- Holidays and weekends as scheduled.
Additional Info:
- Face-paced environment.
- Dedicated and specialized team of nurses, LPNs, and PCAs working together with the hospitalist and specialty providers.
