Surgical Technician Job Description

At Surgery Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during surgical procedures

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures

• Help prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting incision sites

• Transport patients to the operating room and help position them on the operating table

• Assist with putting on sterile gowns and gloves and passing instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants

• Help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments and prepare, care for, and dispose of specimens taken for laboratory analysis

• Operate sterilizers, lights, or suction machines and help operate diagnostic equipment

• Clean and restock the operating room after procedures

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program

• Certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field
