Glue Mixer Technician

Boise Cascade is seeking a skilled Glue Mixer to join our team in the manufacturing of wood products. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our glue lines.

1. Collaborate with supervisors to identify maintenance needs and implement improvements to increase efficiency and uptime.
2. Develop and recommend strategies to optimize glue mix schedules and reduce waste.
3. Ensure accurate measurements and mixing of glue-wash water and fresh water.
4. Maintain accurate records of daily glue mixing activities and communicate with Layup Superintendent.
5. Monitor and record glue waste-water specific gravity daily.
6. Maintain a clean and organized pallet area and ensure proper storage of glue supplies.
7. Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, including glue ditch and pit cleaning, and waste water filter maintenance.
8. Unload and store glue supplies, and notify supervisors when to order necessary materials.
9. Ensure all secondary containment areas are clean and free from debris.
10. Follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
