Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inspection Technician to join our team at Freedom Forever. As an Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our solar panel installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of solar panel installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Verify that all electrical and roof racking components are properly installed and meet safety codes.
  • Collaborate with inspectors to ensure that installations are completed to code.
  • Review and gather all necessary parts to complete inspections on site.
  • Set up and tie off ladders for city/county inspectors.
  • Rivet placards and open electrical panels and junction boxes for inspection.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all written and verbal instructions.
  • Take notes for corrections and notify the Field Manager of any issues or updates.
  • Keep inspection vehicles stocked with necessary materials.
  • Service solar panel systems as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in electrical and roof racking.
  • Electrical apprentice card is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical plans and field layouts.
  • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Good motivation with an attention to productivity, detail, and safety.
  • Able to work safely with heights on ladders and in confined areas.
  • Be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops, and work on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday.

  • Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.
  • Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
  • Understand the speech of another person.
  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
  • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
  • Move two or more limbs together while remaining in place.
  • Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired.
  • Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
  • While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side.
  • Lift up to 50+ pounds.
