Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst II who will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle. This position involves collaborating with the product team to implement, test, validate, and deploy modifications to software applications while sharing insights and knowledge with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the product team to test and deploy application enhancements and collaboratively defined requirements.
- Engage in work refinement and estimation activities with the product team.
- Prepare and execute testing protocols for all new and modified code in accordance with team and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with product and change control teams to ensure quality deliverables that enhance customer value.
- Develop and maintain essential documentation as defined by the product team or organization (e.g., support processes, team workflows, system documentation).
- Ensure timely project delivery, effectively communicating any delays or obstacles to the team and leadership.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual tests throughout all phases of application testing.
- Recognize and incorporate testability during the design and development stages.
- Identify test cases suitable for automation.
- Conduct test reviews in alignment with team and organizational standards.
- Spot opportunities for process enhancements and share insights during product team discussions.
- Identify areas within the product and design that are prone to defects and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Actively engage in the resolution of test defects, providing thorough documentation and recommendations.
- Participate in troubleshooting and communication regarding urgent production issues.
- Adhere to customer experience standards, including prompt responses, maintaining a positive demeanor, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing customer expectations, and taking ownership of issue resolution.
- Adapt to non-core responsibilities as necessary to ensure timely delivery of work to customers (e.g., analysis, testing, deployment, and meeting facilitation).
- Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and complete assignments effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Basic understanding of testing metrics and tools for measurement, along with the ability to provide execution metrics.
- Proficient in presenting information to the product team.
- Intermediate knowledge of various office and computer software applications.
- Effective use of necessary programming languages and version control software.
- Familiarity with core systems.
- Ability to interpret automated test results.
- Understanding of Jenkins job results.
- Knowledge of multiple testing tools and frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree, associate degree, bootcamp certificate, or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with all members of the product team.
- Basic knowledge and application of Agile testing methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience or education in the property and casualty insurance sector.
Compensation Overview:
The targeted salary range for this position is $71,550 - $79,500 annually. The actual salary offered may vary based on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience, as well as other factors such as the role's scope and location.
