About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Excela Health. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support in various medical settings.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, gather medical history, and prepare patients for procedures. Additionally, they will perform administrative tasks, such as updating medical records and handling correspondence.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient examinations and treatments
* Gather patient medical history, including medication lists and allergies
* Prepare patients for procedures, such as injections or blood draws
* Perform basic life support skills, such as CPR and first aid
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A high school diploma or equivalent
* Completion of a medical assisting program or certification (e.g., CMA, RMA)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
* Certification in phlebotomy or ECG monitoring

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working approximately 35-40 hours per week. The schedule may include rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

This role requires standing for long periods, walking, and frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds. You should also be able to use your hands and fingers to manipulate objects, reach overhead, and push/pull equipment.
