We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Play Director to lead our spring play production. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, providing, and producing all aspects of the play, including selecting the play, securing approval, and managing the production crew and actors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide effective leadership in activities and events resulting in the production of the spring play.
2. Students may participate as members of the production crew or actors in the production and demonstration of selected plays throughout the year.
3. Select play and secure the expressed approval of the Principal for each play.
4. Organize and effectively lead students to plan and execute activities for the students participating in the spring play.
5. Obtain supervision for the spring play after-school events, meetings, rehearsals, and activities.
6. Schedule and coordinate the use of facilities for the spring play with the designated building personnel.
7. Manage and supervise the use of the facilities during spring play activities and events.
8. Responsible to work within the given budget and keep accurate records of monies used and received.
9. Report to and work with the Student Activity Coordinator to determine spring play activities and events.
10. Follow guidelines as enumerated in the STUDENT ACTIVITY/CLUB DESCRIPTION & ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES booklet.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in play production and directing, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work with teens. A valid Professional Educators License, School Administrator, Substitute Teaching, School Psychologist, School Counselor, School Social Worker Certificate, or retired from teaching or a Certificate from a Coaches Education Program is preferred.
