Job Description:

Focusing on delivering exceptional patient care, we are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures, adhering to established protocols, and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exams, and establish rapport.
  • Instruct patients on the test to be performed and assess their ability to tolerate the exam.
  • Prepare patients or areas for mammography procedures by positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting up equipment.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control policies, and radiation protocols.
  • Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operational capabilities and report issues to management.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain relevant documentation, including requisitions, patient histories, and consent forms.

Requirements:

  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
  • BSN from an accredited nursing program and proper licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech.

Work Environment:

This is a contract/temporary/travel position in Morristown, NJ. The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
